I put one at the end of the walk and by the second night the neighbours were asking where it came from. Everyone on this street runs orange lights, so the blue reads as something else entirely from the road. It came on by itself the first evening and I have not touched it since.
One looked good but a little lonely next to the porch. Three down the path is the version I should have bought first - the light carries the whole way to the door instead of marking a single spot. Wish I had just started with the set.
Pushed it into the flower bed and that was the whole setup. No extension cord across the lawn, which is the thing I hated about the lights I had before - one of them killed a timer every time it rained.
Worth saying out loud: this is about waist high, not a life-size reaper. The listing photos make it look like it towers over the yard. At 35 inches it is the right size for a bed or a walkway, but if you want the thing that scares people on the porch, this is not that piece. Still four stars because it does exactly what it says.

Put two on either side of the walk. Kids stop at the lantern on the way up and again on the way down. My daughter calls it the ghost fountain, which is honestly a better name than mine.
Went in easy on the lawn. The bed on the other side is packed clay and I had to water it first before the stake would go deep enough to stand straight. Once it was in it stayed in, wind and all.
